Talk Like A Pirate Day Giveaway: Scallywags by Gamewright!

This Wednesday is Talk Like A Pirate Day, the only day that you can get away with calling your co-workers names like Landlubber and Drivelswigger. It's also the day that we are giving away a copy of Gamewright's new pirate-themed game, Scallywags! And if you win, you can talk like a pirate whenever you pull out the game.

If you have kids and are looking for a fun, light game Scallywags fits the bill.
You’ll be counting your booty and having a blast in no time. (play-board-games.com)

What kind of things can you say when you're a pirate? Well, we went right to the source. Scallywags designer, and possible-pirate Chevee Dodd has this to say about the game:

I have no clue what he said, but I like it!

  2. YARRRR!!! That booty be mine, for I've sailed the seven seas lookin' for that dastardly pirate Dead-Eye Dodd. He did me wrong by not shaking my hook at GenCon and I need to get me revenge by getting his game and sharing it with my friends!

  3. Not since Jennifer Lopez has a finer booty been seen. Me thinks I must claim this fer me own...but I wont be burying it from them other nasty scoundrels but will be sharing it with them along with a bottle rum. As we play and laugh and cheer...and then later I send them all to Davy Jones Locker.....arrrrrr

  4. A pirate walks into a bar, swaggers over to the barkeep and demands a glass of rum.

And so the bartender starts pouring while sizing up the newcomer. The pirate has every classic appearance of a pirate - from the eye patch and parrot to the tattoos and peg leg. But there was one thing out of place. There was a steering wheel sticking out of the pirate's pants.

This pirate is in full pirate gear. Gold earrings, patch over the eye, a big filthy white blouse covering his swarthy chest, tattoos everywhere, all of it. But protruding from his pirate trousers is the unmistakable form of a steering wheel.

So the bartender decides to ask, "So, what's up with the steering wheel?"

And the pirate turns back and fixes him with a beady glare from his lone eye. "Arrr, I don't know, but it's drivin' me nuts!"

  13. There are also online educational games that are designed to be played by the young ones cause it supplements their knowledge. Also board games could develop the brain's cognitive and analytic skill, which will be very beneficial to them as they grow old.
