Hey Look an Official Image of Lego Minifigures Series 10!



It was only a matter of time before we got our first proper look at Lego Minifigures Series 10 and it turns out that every single figure is exactly as rumoured. Check out Medusa, a Bee Lady, a Paintball guy, a Sea Captain and a whole lot more...


And if you're especially astute you will see that there's a 17th figure this time, the golden top hat wearing buffoon up the back who is going to be extremely rare. So expect packages to be wore thin as clumsy adult hands grope desperately to identify that top hat in store. (In fact I'm kind of surprised that they didn't include another top hat wearing character just to confuse the matter).

Overall I think this is one of the weaker series, but there's some nice pieces here that are either brand new, or items that not many people would have. Like the Lego Chihuahua that comes with the Paris Hilton wannabe who appears to be holding some sort of iPad. And I have a soft spot for the Haddock like Sea Captain and that Sad Clown. Cool new hair here as well like the revolutionary soldier's powdered wig and the bald cap for the grandfather. Some bewildering inclusions too though like that painter/decorator. WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT?

No doubt many of us on the site will be getting them anyway. What do you like?

    At a glance this is kind of a boring series, mostly because there aren't any big custom pieces in there, but probably even more so because there are two characters holding mugs. A mug accessory just screams boredom. "This character can sit and drink coffee." Oh wait, they both come with something to read too! This doesn't help. I'm confused on why they didn't separate the mug/reading characters in that image. The whole left corner is doing nothing. Oh well, onto the rest...

    The paintball guy is AWESOME. So random, and perfect for keeping things fresh in the 10th series. But why include him in the same series as the Painter? Unless he's stealing paint and shooting it, it seems like paint/mug/reading material overkill.

    The parachuter diving for the honey pot looks pretty fun. Hope he comes with a parachute.

    Revolutionary Soldier - YES!!
    Sad Clown - YES!!!

    Also, the Bee Girl looks weak. She looks a little to stiff to fit in with the other mascot characters.

    Love the gold one too, and I'm prepared to battle it out at the store.
