Burning Love - A Fake Reality Show Starring Ken Marino!

On June 4th Yahoo is premiering it's new web show Burning Love, a reality show about Mark Orlando, a firefighter who is looking for love. It sounds like a pitch for an actual dating show, and it may have been at one time... but Burning Love is totally fake. It's a scripted show produced by Ben Stiller, and starring Ken Marino, Kristen Bell, Michael Ian Black, Adam Scott and Malin Akerman.

If you want a little taste of Burning Love to hold you off for the next few weeks, you could always follow Mark Orlando on Twitter

Also in the meantime, click through the jump for a few of Ken Marino's best moments.

Celebrity Apprentice Recaps: Episode Three!

Only three episodes in and any pretense that this year’s tasks will be even tangentially related to business has eroded. I’m not entirely sure exactly what skills Trump is looking for in his “apprentice”, but it’s almost like the celebrity contestants have a contract that stipulates that tasks will not involve mathematics, economics or accounting. Instead Trump is giving them mindless creative busy work, akin to finger-painting or making macaroni necklaces.

Last week they dressed up as knights and bashed each other with swords in front of mildly enthusiastic diners. What ridiculous ruse will pass as a task this week? Join me after the jump to find out!

AMC Presents - Comic Book Men!

So I've know about this for a while, but wanted to see what you all think...

Comic Book Men is a new reality TV show starting on AMC February 12, 2012....finally a reality show for Geeks!!  Set in a comic book store and using the same basic principles as shows such as Pawn Stars (I guess), it's scheduled to follow The Walking Dead and appeal to the same audience.  The comic book store in questions is Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash and the employees of the store are already somewhat known from the podcasts "Tell 'Em Steve-Dave" and "I Sell Comics!", both available at Smodcast.com.  None of that is really important though, except that I've been listening to both podcasts for a long time and can vouch for the oft-hilarious content.  It also means that Kevin Smith is heavily involved in this.  Whether you find that a good or a bad thing is up to you.  Personally, I'm a big fan.  Anyway, If we MUST be stuck with reality TV shows, this has GOT to be better than another whiny model or bad singer show, right?  Right!
