Zombicide - Kickstarter Final Countdown

Have to type fast because we don't have much time, and you need to be informed - Zombicide is coming.

Wow, that was a terrible lead in, but its actually true. Zombicide is a minis-based zombie board game that is currently exploding Kickstarter (from a board game sense), and it is coming to a close. With under 2 hours left, the game has raised over $730,000 (its goal was $20,000 - 3,656% successful so far!). If you're a fan of zombies, this is definitely worth taking a look at (and you best hurry)

All the details to what you can get after the break.  But hurry, you're wasting time!

The game is a cooperative senario based game where as you play you improve your character, and the more kills you cause the larger the oncoming onslaught of zombies become. Game mechanics are fairly straight forward (you have so many moves and so many actions, each character has unique actions to them) and the variety of zombie types range from Romero walkers to 28 days later runners to L4D boomers and the like.

The game is going to retail for around $90, and has a crazy ton of minis in the box (71 to be exact), but during the KS campaign you can get this for $75. However, at the $100 level you currently get this (thanks to stretch goals being met and surpassed massively):

Abomination Mini
  • Base game - 71 miniatures etc
  • 3 Promo Survivors and their Zombie counterparts: 6 miniatures (Bruce Willis, Machette, and what looks like some dude from Hackers)
  • 4 additional Fatties - 4 miniatures (Think boomers in L4D, though they may not explode)
  • 6 additional Runners - 6 miniatures
  • 20 additional Walkers - 20 miniatures
  • 1 additional Abomination - 1 miniature (Big ass tough guy. Think Doomsday but not sucky)
  • 1 Eagle / Zombie Eagle - 2 miniatures (Chuck Norris) (seriously)
  • 1 Cardboard Tube Samurai / Zombie CTS - 2 miniatures (From Penny Arcade lore)
  • 1 Troy, defender of all/ Zombie Troy - 2 miniatures (This is Bruce Cambell - Hail to the King Baby)
  • 6 custom black dice
  • 6 glow in the dark dice
  • 1 T-shirt
  • 1 signed lithograph

Say "What" again. Go on...
But wait theres more - you can spend even more money (that part sucks) to get additional promo figures including the Bride from Kill Bill (Jumpsuit and sword pose) and Samuel L Jackson from Pulp Fiction (plus two others I don't recognize but I'm sure someone else does)

The game is slated for a Q4 2012 release with a lot of the extras being released Q2 2013 to come out with the expansion, but to get in on the ground floor of what may be an epic game for $100 is pretty fantastic. Even if the game sucks, the minis alone are worth it and they are beautifully sculpted. So go check it out stat!
