Not only are we getting our first official gallery of Hot Toys' brand new 1/6th scale Wolverine from X-Men: The Last Stand figure, but he's up our good pals at Sideshow have him up for pre-order already as well! Check out song-and-dance man Hugh Jackman getting ready to carve up some thanksgiving turkeys! SNIKETTY-SNIKT!

I dig that backdrop too! IT tempts me to set part of my shelving on fire!

Say what you will about X-Men: Last Stand (which kind of pussified Wolvie a little bit) Jackman was in his prime and had an awesome outfit. This captures that proud time in our history pretty perfectly...

Articulation looks decent considering that leather suit must be awfully constrictive...

Head sculpt checks out...

And the base is the sentinel that Ratner kind of pussed out of showing properly. No money in his pockets to show it in action so instead we just got this severed head...

Works well as a base here though and yes, the eyes light up. Awesome! Expect lots of extra interchangeable hands as usual...

I dig this a lot and am very tempted to add it to the collection next year. My only criticism I'd level at the brilliant Hot Toys geniuses is that they seem to jump around A LOT with their licenses. With the exception of The Avengers (and maybe Nolan's Batman) they've touched on a lot of franchises with just one or two figures before abandoning them for something else (case in point, we have just two of the five Sucker Punch girls, and where are Quorra or Clu from the Tron line?). So no idea if we can expect a Cyclops or Jean or Beast to accompany Wolvie here, but at least he's a strong enough character to stand alone.
