Lego Minifigures Series 8 is Out!! Updated With Bump Codes!

If you're lucky enough, you might be able to find the newest series of Lego minifigures in a store near you! I just happened to be in the vicinity of my not-so-local Lego store, and picked up a few packs of Minifigures Series 8.

If you recall, we last spoke about series 8 here, when a somewhat known blogger revealed the possible list of all Series 8 figures. Well... he way off.

The newest series doesn't seem to have the one big character that we saw in the previous ones. There is no awesome Ape Suit or Godzilla Costume. There is no Halo style armor. There is no Biohazard Man or Boxer. The biggest standouts of the series are all repaints of characters that we've seen before. At first it kind of upset me about the series, but these are made to be companions to the other characters we've seen in earlier sets. There is a second cheerleader, another robot, more gladiator stuff, and another skier. It sounds kind of boring, which is a first for the line of figures, but after letting it all settle, I don't think it's boring at all. This series will add to some of our collections, and continue to develop the Lego world.

Actor, Pirate Captain, Conquistador, Evil Robot, Alien Villainess, Diver, Vampire Bat, Fairy, Football Player, Businessman, Downhill Skier, Red Cheerleader, Santa, Lederhosen Guy, DJ and Cowgirl

Not bad for my first 4. I feel like it could have been much worse (Skier.) I also was much more impress ed with the DJ than I thought I would be. His hair piece is great with the painted headphones, and the record (the actual record, not the album cover) is really cool. I wish I would have gotten the Alien Villainess or the Deep Sea Diver. Oh well, next time I get to the store I hope that I can combine my feeling skills with some Bump Codes!

If anyone finds the codes, please share them with us! Hopefully we can avoid the ones we don't want doubles of!

UPDATE: The Bump Codes are now here! These ones are a little tougher than the last series, which was pretty tough on its own. See the video below for the codes.

  1. Is the bat the first minifig with arms pointing out like that? Never seen that before.

    1. It's not the first, but probably the second. The same bat (just repainted) comes in the Monster Fighters line. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Manbat

It's what drew me to this figure the most, but it's another example of this series being a re-hashing of everything that's already out there.

  2. The new Lego shop in Manchester has the series 8 mini figures in named carrier bags behind the counter so you can just ask for which one you want...brilliant!!

    1. None yet. It seems like it's a lot harder this time around, and nobody has released a bump code chart. The Vampire Bat is pretty easy to find though. Feel for the unique arms (curved, winged) or feel for the ears on his head.

    2. I posted a video above. TheShredBox on YouTube has decoded the Bump Codes. Nobody else was willing to go there with this series, it seems. It's a tough one, and feeling out the package is still going to be a big part of your process.
