America's Got Talent Finals: The Last Chance!

It's the very last chance for the top America's Got Talent finalists to prove themselves as the top act in the country. Six acts, and only one will be crowned the winner. It's been a long journey to this point, so let's jump right into it.

Instead of just choosing my number one, I've added videos and thoughts on all of them. I'm going to say that Tom Cotter and William Close are going to be the top two and I think William Close will get it, even though I want to see it go to Tom Cotter. And here are all 6 performances so you can decide for yourself.

America's Got Talent Semi Final Recap: Unexpected Awesomeness

America's Got Talent is moving forward with the last episode of the Semi-Finals. This was probably the best episode yet as far as the performances go, and it's going to be REALLY tough to see some of these acts go. Some of my favorites didn't do exactly what I'd hoped, and some that I didn't like before blew me away.

For mr, it all came down to the performances. A few were less than expected and some were absolutely outstanding. Click through the jump for my top 3.

America's Got Talent Semifinal Recap: It's Getting Personal

After a few odd weeks of Olympics and themed episodes (YouTube, Wildcard), it's the America's Got Talent Semi Finals! 12 will perform and only 3 will go through. Same thing next week. The competition is getting fierce.

This week, personality shined through more than anything as the performers start to become more and more of a marketable character. Performances were bigger than ever as well. Click through the jump for our top 3, and thoughts on the others.

America's Got Talent Wild Card Episode Recap: It's Tricky

Last night was the Wild Card episode of America's Got Talent, where each judge was allowed to bring back four acts that were previously voted off of the show. Sometimes an act was voted off because the producers put together a selection that was too good, or too similar... and other times an off night sent them packing.

It was a pretty good mix, but very high on the "wild" side of things. Most of the acts were tricks of some sort, and it made me wonder if the heavy hand of the producers had anything to do with it. Either way, it made for a great episode that will be hard to choose a top four... aside from this guy, who shot a crossbow at his own head while blindfolded.

America's Got Talent Quarterfinal Recap: A Close Call!

It's the last of the America's Got Talent  quarterfinals… and going in, Howard said it'll be the best show yet. I really hoped so. Last week was pretty awful, especially after one of my favorites was axed.

This week was different, and one of the best yet. Howard blamed the producers for lining up so many great acts, and you could see how the producers can make or break the show. Acts from previous shows went through that are not as good as these were.

It was the first show where there wasn't a super clear cut group going through. William Close is going through for sure, but I said the same thing last week about Wordspit. But other than William Close, the rest is really up in the air.

America's Got Talent Quarterfinal Recaps: WTF?

This was definitely the worst night yet for the America's Got Talent quarterfinals. Acts were botched and boring, and out of the first half of the show it looked like none (maybe one?) wold go through. Thankfully it picked up in the end with a few amazing performances, including Lightwire Theater, which may be our winner in the end.

America's Got Talent Quarterfinal Recaps: Idiotic Idioms and Charismatic Contortion

We enter week two of the America's Got Talent Quarterfinals with an odd episode. It started off slow, with some previous favorites struggling to wow me, and struggling to impress the judges as well. The music felt very dull (not the singers, but the music that played during most acts) and there was a lot of downtime during the performances. But it picked up towards the end, and now I'm having trouble narrowing down my top 4. There were two definites, and three others that I'm having a hard time choosing between.

America's Got Talent Quarterfinal Recaps: Dance + Paint = Win.

Is anyone watching Americas Got Talent? If not, I will recap it for you. It's easy to push this show off because it's a mainstream network big budget game show, but underneath all of the flashy graphics and commercials are some really talented people. There is also some crap, which we will get to.

Last night was the quarter finals. That means, we're into the final 48 competing acts, which will be cut down to 16 over the next 4 weeks. Each week we'll see 12 performances, and only 4 will make it through. I though that was pretty harsh going into last night, but by the end of the night, it was pretty clear who should be going through and who shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Click through the jump for video clips of the highlights. There is an amazing dance/paint art performance, a father/daughter duet that will hit you hard, a classic slapstick comedy/dance routine, and a guy who plays a shovel...
