The Book Was Better Podcast Episode 109: Theodore Rex Novelization Writing Challenge!

This is the big one! Our annual Novelization Writing Challenge, where instead of critiquing a crappy novelization, we take it upon ourselves to WRITE one! Our good friend Tim the Stats Man provides each guest/writer with a transcript of scenes from a terrible film - that we haven't seen - and we do our best to write them ourselves, putting together everything we've learned from doing this show!

This year's book is based on the wretched Whoopi Goldberg and an animatronic T-Rex buddy cop movie Theodore Rex! This year's challengers are: JessLukeLizzy UnpronounceableCourtney CoulsonSuzanne, and Xavier! This is our final show for the year and it is our biggest show ever!

Review: Jurassic Park 3D!

For the past 20 years we’ve only been able to enjoy Spielberg's dino-rampage classic Jurassic Park in boring old lame 2D - like a newspaper or a postcard! Now, thankfully in 2013, technology has caught up to the point where we can view it in glorious, futuristic 3D - like a beer, a pizza, or a naked supermodel! Is this fancy big screen post-conversion worth it, especially seeing as how 3D VMAX tickets cost us $28 each - nearly twice as much as the cost of owning the actual Blu-ray?

T-Rex! Ermahgerd!
Hell yes! And I’m going to tell you why Jurassic Park 3D is so awesome... after the jump!'

The Book Was Better Podcast. Episode 17: Jurassic Park!

Hold onto your butts! It's a brand new episode of The Book Was Better podcast and Jessica discuss, dissect and openly mock Jurassic Park! No. Not the Crichton version. But why waste my words when I can quote Jess!
"THE BOOK OF THE MOVIE OF THE BOOK. The dinosaur is eating its own tail! But will the junior novelization get across the majestic herds of CGI creatures, the heart-pounding intensity of the action, and the understated Spielbergian brilliance of the imminent T-rex attack? No, of course not."

Grab it from the official site HERE or download it on ITUNES. And for god's sake leave a review, people!!

Most Memorable Presents: KOTA THE DINOSAUR!

I did not receive this most memorable gift. It's one that I gave it to my daughter for her second Christmas. I mean... Santa gave it to her.

It's Kota the Dinosaur! He moves around and makes noises, and is just plain awesome. I had my eye on him all season. And while normally $150-$200, I scored him for just $50 at Target right before Christmas.

Nowadays, Kota is hanging out in our basement. But everytime we go down there, my daughter still wants to ride on top of him and feed him leaves. I bet you wish you had a dinosaur in your basement.
