Now, the more cynical among you may think that I'm about to mercilessly rip into this thing, but as odd and obscure as it is, I actually approve. I'm a firm believer that these calendars provide the perfect opportunity for Lego to mash up Star Wars concepts with the holiday theme, so I'd rather have something like this - as batshit crazy as it may be - than another ugly weapons rack!

Still! It's better than a punch in the face. Which is what we got for a few days last week. Christmas is almost upon us and I'm pretty sure we all can guess what we're getting tomorrow!
And for those keeping score, each day I pit this calendar against the Playmobil Jurassic Park one. Today the point goes to Lego for inventiveness. Bravo!
