First Look at Pop Vinyl Game of Thrones Series 2!

There really aren't many people left in the world who don't have a Funko Pop Vinyl figure fashioned after them. These beady-eyed, mouthless collectible vinyl figures appear to have infected every single marketable franchise, and perhaps a few non-marketable ones as well! If it's on the big, small, or computer screen then rest assured it will be quickly sculpted into a little swollen headed effigy to stare blankly ahead on your shelf. I need to stop my house from being plagued by these, but many are too tempting, including this second batch of figures based on HBO's wildly successful blood and boobs fantasy epic Game of Thrones. These figures seem to pose the question... "What if all the frigging characters were midgets?" It might look a lot like this:

See! There's little Jon Snow ready to be balanced atop your highest wall! He's probably the most recognisable of this series and as such my favourite of the bunch. But who else appears in this wave? Can you guess the other five? I tried and failed miserably. Now I want to make you miserable as well.

Let's find out... after the jump!

FP Gift Guides: Christmas is Coming

Ah December. The month where work is winding down for the year, but stress levels are rising as you battle shopping centre crowds trying to find the perfect gift for all your ridiculously hard to buy for friends and family. Seeing as I have 90% of my Christmas shopping already done (not gloating, just stating a fact), I thought I'd share a few of the gems I found while trawling the internets on my very own Christmas quest.

Today, to coincide with the fact Aussie retailer Popcultcha is offering 20% off all of their Game of Thrones stock for 24 hours, we'll be perusing the wares of Westeros and seeing what we come up with. How about a 14" replica of the Iron Throne to start us off?

AUD$279.99 from Popcultcha

Pop Vinyl Game of Thrones? Oh All Right Then!

Fantasy epic Game of Thrones sure has a lot of gore and tits, but is it button-eyed and cute enough for us over-zealous consumers? Probably not, but thankfully the gang at Pop Vinyl have a solution! They're releasing delightful, large-headed vinyl figures of your favourite GoT characters, including womanising demon-monkey Tyrion, blood-thirsty monster The Hound, and dreamy rapist Khal Drogo. Put them on your desk at work for a sexy conversation starter.

Imagine the size of the sword that would be required to take out this version of Ned...

Review: Funko Pop Vinyl: Catwoman, Mahna Mahna, Slave Leia!

How the hell do you review figures from Funko's omnipresent Pop Vinyl line?! If you've seen a single picture of one of these figures then you kind of know everything you'll ever need to know. But you know what? It's Wednesday, and it's a slow news day, and Batman opens tomorrow, and why don't you and I just chill and relax and take a little tour of this eclectic trio of Pop Vinyl figures. We'll just shoot the shit about them. It'll be fun.

So take my hand - you know, you have real pretty hands - and join me... after the jump!

Review: Funko Pop Vinyl Star Wars Series 3: Jabba the Hutt!

The fine folks at Funko are building a bobblehead empire so vast that it is almost threatening. Through their cute and stylised, beady-eyed Pop Vinyl line they appear to have conquered more licenses than any other company, quite possibly because they have the bobble-head monopoly. Their lines to date include: Disney, Pixar, the Muppets, Marvel Heroes, DC Heroes, horror icons, videogame icons, music icons, sports icon, cult film icons, and of course, Star Wars characters. Whether you're fan of V for Vendetta, Mahna Maha, or Joey Ramon, Funko have got you covered!

And ironically, the biggest criticism I hear about this collection is the fact that they ARE bobbleheads and not just figures or statues, but I guess that's Funko's untapped niche and is exactly why they are able to secure this many characters!

Star Wars wave 3 is now hitting the shelves and when I saw this I knew it would be criminal not to add him to my collection:

When Mr. T proudly proclaimed, "Quit yo' jibber jabba, fool!" he clearly wasn't talking about this lil'
guy. Clearly. To find out what I thought... join me after the jump!
