Axe Cop Animated Teaser!

You all know about Axe Cop, right? The webcomic sensation drawn by 30-year-old Ethan Nicolle and written by his six-year-old brother, Malachai! I recently read Axe Cop: Bad Guy Earth, their first long-form graphic novel from Dark Horse, and was thrilled at the boundless, batshit insane, unfiltered imagination that only a six-year-old can deliver. Malachai injects more ideas into a single panel than DC put into the entire New 52!

Like all good ideas, it now needs to be made into a TV show and below is our first taste of next year’s Axe Cop animated series, in the form of a spoOOooky Halloween themed vignette. It all looks pretty faithful to me. If you’ve not yet been introduced to the joy that is Axe Cop then this is a pretty good first taste...

If child labour can be that funny then I’m all for it!!

Tuesday Bounty: Glorious Bounty Book Three Draws to a Close.

It's Tuesday, and that not only means a brand new page of humour/sci-fi comic series Glorious Bounty (drawn by Grug and written by me) but it's also the final page of this current storyline! Yes, this is the final page of Book Three: The Convoluted Killbots! We did it you guys!

When we last left the crew they were chillin' like villains and teasing Bruce about the fact that his brain belongs to a woman (a detail he does not remember from their ordeal).

So that was the good news, and now the bad. There will be a (hopefully) short hiatus before Book Four due to a drawing injury. All will be fine, and the book is written, but it might take a few weeks to get us up and running again. But stay tuned and we'll let you know as soon as Glorious Bounty Book Four: Planet of the Lacklustre Lizards launches!

Tuesday Bounty: Glorious Bounty Kicks Back.

Tuesday Bounty: Glorious Bounty Gets it Together!

Holy crap it’s Tuesday! And that can only mean a brand new page of sci-fi/humour comic series Glorious Bounty drawn by the rough-hewn hands of Edward J. Grug III and written by me. BUT FIRST... a (relatively) exciting announcement!

The print version of Glorious Bounty Book Three: The Convoluted Killbots will be available at giant pop culture expo Supanova THIS WEEKEND. Grug and I will both be there hocking our meager wares like shameless/desperate hucksters. So if you’re in Perth, drop by and pick up Killbots, plus a bonus PK button and Grug will probably even pop a sketch in it for you. We’ll also have copies of Book One: The Sexy Virus and Book Two: The Sticky Goat Affair, so there’s zero excuse to avoid transferring your hard-won money to our pockets! And if you’re not in Perth, stay tuned because the book will soon be available via other (illicit) methods!

Phew! When we last left the Bounty crew they had beaten the odds and managed to defeat their toughest target yet. Is it finally time to crack them out of those temporary robot bodies?

When we last left the Glorious Bounty crew both Bruce and Deevis were recovering from having their heads blown off in a Convoluted Killbot incident. It appears their brains have been temporarily housed in PK (Perpetual Killing) robots, and PK - the crew's own PK robot - is wicked pissed! Anarchy!

Kickstart the Week: Oceanverse: The Collected Edition by Michael Schwartz

This is a great example of web comic to print perfection. The Oceanverse comic looks really cool and definitely like something I would love to read, but it looks like you can't access the archives during the Kickstarter campaign. Actually, it's really hard to find any images right now. They are on serious lockdown. Probably a good idea, but I want to read some samples!

Glorious Bounty: The Sticky Goat Affair

I just now posted the last page of the second book of Glorious Bounty.

If you didn't know us before this blog started, or if you generally zone out when Luke or I are talking, Glorious Bounty is a comic written and coloured by Luke Milton and drawn by me. It's about four hapless bounty hunters. It's a sci fi comic, it's funny, and it's not really what you think it's going to be reading what I just wrote.
