Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 17: Cruisin'.

It's day 17 of our sometimes exciting, often sleep-inducing trek into the Lego Star Wars advent calendar which continues its inexplicable love affair with sand-hating, stalker love story: Attack of the Clones. So if you're one of the three AOTC fans then brace yourself for fun! Otherwise... I'm so sorry.

Let's blast open Door Number 17 and see what we got!

And... it's... a....

Another ship! Of course it is! Another grey thing with wings to add to my growing collection of treasured grey things with wings! Now what is this one...

Why it's a Naboo Cruiser! This is the ship that unceremoniously opens Attack of the Clones. You know, it lands in Coruscant and the queen is like, "Man... I need to stretch my legs! My dogs are barking!" and then she explodes! And you're like, "Shiiiiit, Son! I wasn't expecting that!" and then George Lucas walks onto the screen and goes, "Relax, young fan! T'was an act of duplicity on my part! You see, that was not the queen at all! That was a decoy!" And you're like, "NO WAY!" And George is like, "YES WAY. Oh... and Panaka is now Typho. Don't think about it."

So yeah. It's that one. By the far weakest opening of the films, although I clearly remember it in minute detail. Relax, we're probably due a minifig tomorrow.

And for those keeping score, each day I pit this calendar against the Jurassic Park Playmobil one. Star Wars actually gets the point today but only because Jurassic Park was crazy lame. I can't believe that Star Wars is getting a confident lead...
