Darth Maul Returns to The Clone Wars: Teaser!

With The Phantom Menace returning to the big screen next year in 3D, it was only a matter of time before a skilled surgeon stitched the two severed halves of iconic villain Darth Maul back together to coincide with the event. We all knew it was going to happen, but the following teaser video is official proof that Maul somehow survived the Great Halving and will work his way into The Clone Wars animated series this US spring. The Clone Wars part is right at the end...

What do you make of this tomfoolery!?

  1. Well, his brother showed up earlier this year (who is yellow and voiced by Clancy Fuckin' Brown) and there was some mystic shit with some Nightsisters and he learnt that Maul was most likely alive and went out to find him. No indication yet of what's going on below Maul's belt though.

  3. Eeeeep!!! This is so awesome!! Darth Maul was freaking awesome, and one of the main highlights of the Prequels, much like Suzanne said.
Can't wait to see what this is all about ;)

  4. I hope it is either a dalek or spider body for his replaced lower half

  5. LOL, I think a Dalek would be appropriate...they always appeared when they were supposed to be dead.
But then he would only want to exterminate everyhthing.

  6. I'm hoping his severed top half got skewered on a mop in a bucket. And it's one of those mop buckets on wheels. So he'll wheel around on menacing squeaky wheels, while still impaled on a mop. Pretty awesome!

  7. Haha! I just died laughing. Oh my, the mental image of him as a broom on a wheeled bucket, squeaking all the meanwhile, is going to be stuck in my head for awhile. And every time I think about it, I think I will be giggling like an idiot.

So I guess we could expect something like Maw from Dark Forces 2?

  9. I'm surprised everyone assumes the *top half* survived.
